Elizabeth Brazier teaches a vinyasa flow practice inspired by Shiva Rea. Elizabeth has a strong background in athleticism, competing as a varsity swimmer at Emory University and she completed her first two triathlons last summer. Elizabeth is drawn to vinyasa flow yoga because of it’s meditative qualities. The breath synchronized movement stills the mind and opens the heart. Within this freedom Elizabeth hopes to provide her students with an opportunity to explore their soft edge both on and off the mat. Her presence in the studio invites both introductory and experienced students and her classes creatively include sun salutations, standing poses, hand balances, inversions, hip openers, backbends and twists.

Lauren Ostis has spent the past several years traveling, volunteering, and learning from the communities she has found herself in, both in this country and abroad. She recently moved back to the coast of Maine where she was raised. She has been studying yoga and meditation for over ten years and certified as a Sivananda yoga teacher in the Bahamas in the spring of 2006. Her course took place in an ashram where she was fully immersed in the asanas, kirtan, Sanskrit, karma, philosophy and satsang of yoga. Lauren has taught yoga in Little Harbour in the Bahamas, in the mountain towns of Asheville, North Carolina and McCall, Idaho and has joined us an instructor at Sanctuary. As a self-employed fiber artist, a wilderness tripleader, an environmental educator, a dancer, and a student of Buddhism and of Capoeira Angola, Lauren enjoys integrating her passions into her yoga classes. Drawing from the traditions of Sivananda, Lauren's asana classes interweave many layers of spirtuality that relax the body and mind while rejuvenating the soul. Each class begins with an intention supported by quotes, poetry and moments for meditation. Chanting, breathwork and a combination of held poses and flowing movements enhance the full-body experience. The inspiration found within this class will send you off with great energy...
